Many developers will tell you that Flex and Ajax are apples and oranges; compliments to one another that aren’t always in direct competition. While this is certainly true, in the space of rich Internet applications (RIAs), there are still many situations where both technologies provide similar solutions to the same problems. The purpose of this article is to provide a comparison between Flex and AJAX in those situations where they are both relevant to the problem at hand. The Apache Web server provides a feature called .htaccess file, which provides commands to control a Web site. This file is simply a text file containing Apache directives. Cascading Style Sheets offer many advantages you don’t have in table-layouts – and first of all a strict separation between layout, or design of the page, and the information, presented on the page. Thus the design of pages can be easily changed, just replacing a css-file with another one. Isn’t it great? Well, actualy, it is.
